Recap from the cutting class...
Section top from sides. Start on one side and work around to the other side. Always follow your "guide" (the hair cut from the previous section). Now continue down the back either cut straight out from the head (for a longer look, like Austin's) or hold your fingers at an angle to the head for a more tapered look. Move on to the top by creating a guide straight down the center of the head, like a mow hawk. Then work perpendicular to your guide from the back towards the face. You'll then either cut off your "corners" or point cut into them to soften the connecting points. Don't forget to trim around the ears and neckline. A good reference point for the side burns is using the cheekbone, cutting right on it.
